Longitude Health Names Former Dynatech CEO and WebMD VP to Board of Directors Tue, Oct 7 2008

Expanded Board Strengthens Company’s Position as Leading Health and Productivity Improvement Provider to the Middle Market

The new board members will be joined by current members Jan Swaney, Tracy Korman and Phillip Smith.

John Reno, retired president, CEO and chairman of Dynatech Corporation, started as an investment banker with G.H. Walker and was selected for partnership in 1971. Reno served in various senior operating positions until being named president and CEO of Dynatech in 1993 and chairman in 1995. A recognized authority on corporate governance, Reno has also provided guidance as a board member to Millipore Corporation, Boston’s Museum of Science and WGBH Television and Radio.

Richard Vietor, president of R.R. Vietor LLC, providers of advisory services on corporate strategy, capital markets, and communications for healthcare companies, previously served as vice president of WebMD Corp (now HLTH Corp), where he focused on investor and strategic issues. While at WebMD, Vietor was on the team that completed the successful public offering of the company's WebMD Health subsidiary. As managing director at Merrill Lynch, Vietor was a senior member of investment banking teams providing services to specialty pharmaceutical, generic, drug distribution and medical IT companies. As Merrill Lynch's senior pharmaceutical research analyst and global coordinator, Vietor covered a broad list of major pharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceutical, biotechnology, drug distribution, and pharmacy benefit companies in the U.S. Additionally, Vietor has extensive experience serving on the boards of public and private companies.
